Welcome to my blog, welcome to my world, welcome to my travels. I’ll be sharing all the fun and not so fun details about my travels, including the research, planning, and the importance of letting serendipity find it’s way.
I’m in the midst of planning a summer full of traveling. Those of you who know me know that I’m a teacher. Those of you who don’t know me, now you know as well. Anyway, during the school year, I teach 7th grade World Geography and 8th grade U.S. History and during the summer I do research for my curriculum. Not really, but all the traveling experiences do enhance my curriculum.
Most of the summer will be spent on personal travels with family and friends. However, it’s not all play, one must work as well. I have organized a canal boat trip in France where we will be exploring the Lot et Garonne region between Bordeaux and Toulouse. John, my husband, and I have been running canal boat trips in France for the past few years. We have only managed to work one canal boat trip in each summer…in between our personal travels and John’s sailing passages. Check out John’s website for his schedule of passagesĀ www.yayablues.com
Next summer, 2012, I’m launching cultural immersion groups for teens. Stay tuned to the blog for more information.
So long for now.
